CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF PARTNERSHIP
Sight Savers
International is inviting teams to take part in their 'Rotary Mountain
Challenge' that takes place over the weekend of 24th & 25th June 2006.
Teams of 6 walkers, supported by 2 drivers, will be set
the Challenge of climbing a mountain in Scotland, England and Wales. Starting
in Scotland each team will scale Stob Ban in the Nevis range; travelling from
there to Cumbria the next mountain will be Helvellyn in the Lakes, finally
climbing Snowdon in Wales will see the teams climb 3 mountains each over
3000ft, in 3 countries in 24 hours including the driving! |

Global Challenge UK has designed this demanding event,
on behalf of Sight Savers, with the participant's safety in mind. We have many
years experience of running outdoor events. Specialist marshals, personnel and
safety equipment ensures the team's safety at all times. Team briefing sessions
and handbooks offering advice on training, routes, and clothing & diets
etc. will be provided prior to the event. The Challenge will start late
afternoon on Saturday the 24th June and finish at the same time the following
day, the 25th. A complimentary celebratory meal 8.: reception at Snowdon rounds
off The Three Tops Challenge. The event not only ensures a fantastic weekend
for the participating teams but will also provide an excellent
'fundraising-vehicle' for Sight Savers.
The Challenge is for teams to raise a minimum of
£5,000 per team and the proceeds will go to the special '30th Anniversary
Rotary African Vision Appeal' .
